ASSIGNMENT 2 : BASIC FITTED GARMENT 

WEEK 4 - WEEK 9

Week 4 

Today, Mr Riza shared how to manipulate the dart using PIVOT method and SLASHING AND SPREADING method. For the pivot method, it has 8 ways and for slashing and spreading method, it has 7 ways. Learning these methods is the first step for us to accomplish the assignment 2. For Assignment 2, we need to:

1. Produce one BASIC TOP  

2. Produce one type of COLLAR (flat / standing collar)

3. Produce one BOTTOM PIECE (pants or skirt)

Week 5

This week, we need to draft all the patterns on mahjong paper and transfer them into garment. 

CM(s) need to be added :

Centre Front: 2.5(button stand) + 2.5 + 1 = 5cm

Side Seam: 2cm

Crown Sleeve, Armhole, Shoulder: 1cm

Neckline, collar: 0.5cm 

1. Master Pattern on Mahjong Paper ( size 12 )

Week 6

1. Master Block on Mahjong Paper (Size 12)

After we finish cutting out all the master pattern block in fabric, we need to close all the darts.

Week 7

In this week, we learn to sew basic skirt and waistband. Also, we need to apply a zipper at the centre back of the skirt.

Week 8

I finish sewing everything on week 8 and do the final parts with sewing invisible stitches.
