In the final project, we are going to translate our ideas into design output, which are Isometric Introduction Poster and Virtual Showroom. After we have collected all the data and materials from project 2, we use it as a guidance to accomplish the Wayang Kulit Poster and Showroom. At fisrt we decided to do 3 areas - Wayang Kulit Traditional Puppet, Modern Product Designs and History of Wayang Kulit. But from our survey, we realised younger generation is not that interested in history so we changed it musical instruments and story of WK.
Isometric Introduction Poster
Based on the idea of the virtual showroom and what we have in it, we imitate everything so we can demonstrate it to the audiences in a 2D form. Before I finalise the design of the poster, I drew a digital sketch to show my group mates about it. After everyone agreed with it, I started to work on it and turn it into a proper design poster.

In this stage, most of the works are in developmental. After I have all the distinct ideas, I started to create the introduction poster. Some of the artwork such as water bottle, Wayang Kulit characters, gunungan and kendang are the same in virtual showroom. Some of the designs that exist in virtual showroom are created by Chze Huang, Sky or Emeline. I convert them to here and use in the poster so the items in Introduction Poster and Virtual Showroom can look exactly the same.

Virtual Showroom
For the virtual showroom, we found a lot of materials and informations to display them in our showroom.
I responsible for the traditional story of Wayang Kulit and find the characters in the story. I found the story on the Internet and shorten it into a summarised story (as shown below). Some other members take part for the musical instruments, art designs and product designs.
The Story of the Ramayana
In a country faraway, a prince - Rama and a princess - Sita met and fell in love. After they got married, Rama’s jealous stepmother banished them to live in the forest for fourteen years. They were joined by Rama’s brother, Laksmana.
But their peace was soon to shatter. Ravana, a wicked demon king with ten heads and twenty arms, caught sight of the beauty Sita and decided to capture her for himself. He set up a trap and caused trouble to Rama. Rama asked for help, suddenly exploded from the forest. Sita pleased Laksmana to help her beloved Rama. Reluctantly he agreed as long as she promised to stay in a safe circle he drew around her. Ravana tricked her into being alone, as he had pretended to be Rama in distress.
An old sick man came stumbling towards Sita and asked her for some water. Suddenly he collapsed and Sita stepped out of her safe place to help him. She screamed when she realised he was Ravana. Hearing all the noise, Rama and Laksmana came dashing back for Garuda to break the devastating news of Sita’s kidnap before he died.
The twists and turns of Rama’s journey to get Sita back from the epic tale of the Ramayana, but his adventures are too many to tell here. Throughout his travels he had the help of the monkey warrior Hanuman and his monkey army. At last our hero and villain, Rama and Ravana, stood face to face. With clearness of mind, he remembered that he had an arrow that had been blessed by God in his backpack. Carefully taking aim, the arrow fired Ravana soaring high into the sky that he was dead by the time he came back to earth.
Rama raced off to find Sita, and on being reunited they decided to go home. Hanuman flew ahead to the villages asking them to line the paths with lamps so the couple could find their way home. It is this safe return of Rama and Sita that is celebrated every year at Diwali - the Hindu festival of lights.
After the previous parts have been done, I finish recording my presentation and editing the video.

Isometric Introduction Poster Outcome
Final Outcome
Rationale
The whole Isometric Introduction Poster is based on the arrangement of our virtual showroom. The colour tone and designs are related to Wayang Kulit to create the atmosphere. Also, I found that the two Wayang Kulit characters look interesting as they're like looking at the people in the showroom of Wayang Kulit. So it's like they are watching others looking at themselves (?) For the whole concept of this poster and virtual showroom, we included traditional and modern elements into it so it does match our very first concept - Preservation through Adaptation.
For the product designs, Ms suggested us to add something that Generation Z will bring by their side like merchandise from different aspect. It can also be a poster for them to see the direction or information of the showroom or a collection of characters for example, the Bearbrick. She also suggested us to import some more organic designs for the benches and add some videos for people to watch so it can be more interesting. Ms gave us some suggestions like use some dark lightning colour for the whole showroom since it's a Wayang Kulit. She mentioned that we can create or search a Wayang Kulit wallpaper and use it as background for the presentation.
REFLECTION
Here comes to an end of this module, first of all I would like to thank all the lecturers, supervisor - Ms JinChi and my group mates - Britney, Jo Min, Chze Huang, Jia Xuan and Zhi Xian. At the first day of this module, I'm quite worried because I'm not well researched in the field of culture and when Mr. Razali said we have to group with members from different programme, I’m so loss of words because I don’t know anybody. But luckily, my high school friend - Jo Min asked if I want to join her and Britney (high school friend as well). I'm really happy to be in this group although sometimes our ideas may be different, we always figure out ways to solve the problems. I can say we are all quite different and unique persons because we always have different ideas, but this lead to a better result of our project. Also, I can see everyone has their own strength to contribute for this Group 14.
Now I would like to talk about my own part. I think my strengths in this module is I always like to try different stuffs although I'm not an expert in the area and I love to try something seems fun and creative. On the other side, my weaknesses is I'm not that good in technology stuff so I have to take times to get them done and culture is not my contact area. But at this point, I'm still enjoying in every progress. After taking this module, I'm more clearer about doing proposal, data collection and creating 2D designs because this is not what I normally have a chance to learn as a Fashion Design student. If I could improve this module, I would just hope we can do it in physical. >.<
Overall, I'm very satisfied with what I have done and learnt in this semester 1.5. Once again, thank you everyone and see you in the future!
